Over the years there have been a handful of people who have had a powerful influence upon my writing and my creative journey. It is here that I would like to give them credit and say thank you to them for their influence. First, I have to say a hearty thank you to my original gaming group – Tom, Brian, AJ, Eric, Jeremy, and others who have been in an out of the adventures through the course of time. We may have taken different paths, and in some cases become distant with one another, but it was this particular group guys and the occasional gal that jumped in here and there that introduced me to the world of Role Playing and table top gaming that helped to spark my twisted and sometimes rather insane imagination. Of this bunch, Tom Kressin has been an ever stalwart and loyal companion upon the journey, and without your bemused and sometimes sharply sarcastic sense of humor and interjections, I probably would have given up on this journey long ago. Thank you for being a part of this path with me.

I have picked up other friends along the way who have offered advice, or joined the journey, prodding me along to write these adventures – Josh and Gary, among others. You have been great companions and I appreciate your thoughts and jumping in where angels have feared to tread. Thank you for your support over the years.

There are, of course, also those who have poured knowledge and encouragement into the journey over the years as well. They have become mentors and teachers who have helped me in honing my craft, and in some cases helped me in developing from a man-cub into what might be considered a semi-functional adult. Bob Sparks, my english teacher in High School was one such person. He took a wayward kid who didn’t have much confidence in himself and invested time and patience into him, helping him find the confidence that eventually would lead to this point and the terrifying prospect of putting myself out before the world in the written world. Bob, I cannot thank you enough for being the true definition of a teacher. I can only hope that other young men in the making can be as blessed as I have been thanks to a teacher who actually took time to do more than just try to cram facts into our heads. Thank you, sir.

Then there are other teachers/mentors whom have been a part of the journey. Even though we have only spent time through the medium of the internet, I am honored to call New York Times best selling author Ted Dekker and his good friend Kevin Kaiser mentors. Ted is an incredible author, but for me, his love of working with writers and helping them in their journey of writing has been an important part of this journey. If you are looking for a class to take and an encouraging mentor, I highly recommend Ted’s “the Creative Way” program. And if you are looking for some really great novels and adventures to get into, you should really check out his various works. I know they have inspired me. Check out www.thecreativeway.com to learn more and of course, www.teddekker.com

And most recently, I have to say the team at First Book Coaching, specifically Max Gorlov and  Anna Schecter, have been great companions to add to the journey. Thank you for coming along side and helping me tighten things up and make them better. I am forever in your debt. If you want a great team to encourage and help you in your writing, I highly recommend Max, Anna, and Ben. They are a great team and worth getting to know. Check them out at www.firstbookcoaching.com
